Originally settled by the Nimcocks, “Indians Who Live In Towns”, this small town on the Rappahannock River became know as Urbanna in 1704 in honor of Queen Anne of England.
The Town became a bustling center for Tobacco Trade. It later became known for many other industries, from its Coca Cola Bottling Factory & Canning Factory, to now, a town known for its beautiful water views, rich history, delicious seafood, and grand Urbanna Oyster Festival!
