Pulling together an exhibit is very time-consuming. A birthing of sorts. There is the period of research and selection of an overall theme. Writing the story and ordering the graphics and then the flurry of activity that creates the exhibit. So has been the journey of the new installation unfolding in the visitor center. The purchase of the new cases with the granted funds from the Rotary Club of Middlesex. The gathering of existing objects in the museum’s permanent collection and of incoming loaned objects. Designing the placement and arrangement of all of the pieces and parts. Cleaning and ordering and then assembling into a picture-perfect display that captures the imagination of grandparents and grandchildren alike.
